Analyze the patterns they display. Do they respond immediately to fallen trees, or a respawned one? If yes then raise the suspicion meter by 2. Examine their clicking habits. Are they clicking in the exact same places every time they deposit their money. Add 4 to the suspicion gauge, if that is the case.

The shortbow of maple was the most sought-after bow prior to the update to dungeoneering. Many cited factors such as a fast attack speed and reasonable damage as the reasons why they chose it over longs made of maple. While maple longbows are not common, I was fortunate to meet one during Clan Wars FFA. (In fact, he was using my shortbow to reach him at a longer range with the longbow).

Other types of bows such as the crossbow were less, with composite bows being a luxury item that few 60+'s were able to afford. People used crossbows in clan wars, with shields and it, but I did not notice composite bows. This was the way it was prior to the upgrade (in my view).

Maple long style, with precise Arrows is the most destructive. Maple long or maple short is the most cost-effective. It's not a willow comp. Most damage over time: Maple short. Maple short is the most popular. Willow comp is my most favorite overall bow (Mainly because it offers extra speed at the expense of speed, but not so slow as a longbow, with a nice range bonus).

With the latest dungeoneering updates, it seems that Just About The Gaming EXperience (aka Jagex), decided that the maple-longbow wasn't used to its fullest capacity. Longbow sights are now in place and offers an additional bonus of +110 range attack bonuses along with the regular maple longbow bonuses.
