Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Friday, Jan. 11, accused the Duterte administration of harassment anew, after charges for grave threats were filed against him.

Trillanes made the statement even as he said he would face the new charges against him squarely, like all the other harassment cases filed against me.

Baliw talaga, he said

I just arrived from my trip last Wednesday despite all threats against me, precisely, to show these people that I am not afraid of them, Trillanes added.

Trillanes had gone to some European countries to give talks and allegedly to perform official functions.

He is out on bail for rebellion.

The grave threats charges filed before a Pasay court stem from an incident in the Senate in 2018, when Trillanes was accused by Labor Undersecretary Jacinto Paras of telling him the senator would do away with him.

Trillanes alleged he approached Paras and extended his hand, but it was Paras who rejected the handshake.
