A viral video allegedly showed a shade on the circle for candidates of the Liberal Party or the so-called “Otso Diretso” bets when the ballot is placed against UV light.

Just a few days before the 2019 midterm elections, a viral video that showed pre-shaded ballots that allegedly favored opposition senatorial candidates has alarmed administration bets who pressed for a probe on this.
The video allegedly showed a shade on the circle for candidates of the Liberal Party or the so-called “Otso Diretso” bets when the ballot is placed against UV light.

This has gotten the attention of administration candidates who called on the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to investigate this incident.

Senator JV Ejercito said that if the videos and reports on the pre-shaded ballots that favored the opposition bets are true, then this is a cause for alarm.
Dapat imbestigahan unfair naman sa amin..hirap na hirap na kami… Kulay kahoy na nga ako sa pangangampanya. Kailangan itong imbestigahan,” he said.

Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go said that Comelec should take this seriously and call for a probe.
“Ipinauubaya ko na po sa Comelec na imbestigahan kung totoo ang kumakalat na video,” Go said.
He said that he still trusted the integrity of the upcoming polls, and in the fairness of Comelec.

He also called on the public and the voters to be vigilant, asking them to make sure that their vote won’t be compromised.
