Traktor is a popular DJ software developed by Native Instruments. There are a number of ways to customize Traktor to do just about anything you want to. Do not get overwhelmed with the options available in the software. Here are some of the best tips and tricks for Traktor. Now is the time to have a look at these.

Record the Performance

How great it is to record the performance as an audio file and listen to it later. You can notice the cassette tape icon at the top right-hand corner of the main window of Traktor. All you need to do is just click on it. The performance will be recorded. If you have an internet connection around you, you can broadcast live. It is a great feature that even the professional DJs use, so why shouldn’t you?

Make Search Easier

Searching for a specific track in Traktor is quite easy. You can click on the filter arrow and search for the specific file by name, BPM, bitrate, producer’s name, and the name of the artist. It is good to remember the artist’s name to search for a particular track as searching by BPM will open all the tracks with the same BPM.

Set Crossfade Duration

Crossfading is considered to be an important part of learning for DJs. The great thing about Traktor is that it does a great job of crossfading automatically. In Traktor, it is easy enough to change the duration of the auto crossfade. In order to do this, all you need to do is just go to “Preferences” and then go to “Mixer.” Here you can set the duration in the section that reads “Auto Crossfade Duration.”

Create Loops and Remixes

It is really fun to record the live performance as something new and awesome can be created while recording live. You can create loops to make your tracks play longer and create the remixes live. You can see waveforms and the numbers below the waveforms in the Traktor. DJs call these loop length numbers. You can choose the loop length number as per your choice to loop a specific portion of a track. When the loop plays, the waveform will turn green. Click on the “Active button” to put the loop to an end.

The tips and tricks for Traktor are good enough. The tips mentioned above work better with all the existing versions of Traktor.
