In the past few weeks, Niantic offered several updates in Pokemon Go, resulting in getting more content. After the Kalos Region, Sixth Generation Pokemon, and two days of Community Day events, Pokemon GO has revealed their upcoming events. Interestingly, the upcoming events are also going to be massive, just like the previous one.

2020 is about to end, but Pokemon Go is always ready to bring something new for the trainers. Pokemon Go has revealed some information about their upcoming Holiday event that will feature Ice themed Pokemon. Holiday event will also feature a new costume, a new Ice-type Pokemon, new Research Tasks, and many winter-themed avatars. Players will also receive new bonuses, and new Raid Bosses will appear in Raid Battles.

During the Holiday event, the bonuses will be offered on different dates and timing.

It will start on December 22 at 8:00 AM local time. During the event, players will open more gifts and carry more gifts in their bag. The new gift opening limit will be 45, which is double the regular number.

The event will be live on December 22 and December 23, and players will earn double Raid XP for winning. On December 24 and December 25, players will earn double candy, while on December 26 and December 27, players will earn double Stardust. On December 28 and December 29, the Lucky egg time will increase. Finally, on December 30 and December 31, players will get double Stardust for catching Pokemon.

With all these things, new Raid Bosses will appear in the Holiday event. In the wild, players will see Ice-type Pokemon frequently. A new Pokemon name Vanillite will also appear in the wild. This Holiday event is going to be bigger than the previous year’s Holiday event.

In the Raid Battles, Jynx, Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, Sneasel, Regice, Cubchoo, Walrein, and Cryogonal will appear. If trainers are lucky, they can encounter the shiny form of Jynx in Raid Battles too.

In the Mega Raids, Mega Abomasnow will continuously appear.

The great thing about the Holiday event is that players will have the opportunity to catch Regice. This Ice-type Pokemon is so popular among the trainers, and its shiny form will also appear in Raid Battles.

Along with all these things, players should focus on new costumes, avatars, and themed-research tasks. Holiday event is also considered a significant event because it offers almost every reward to the players, but on several days.

Apart from this upcoming event, currently, a special event is also live. Right now, the Legendary Kyurem appears in 5-star Raid Battles. In the breakthrough reward, players can encounter Lapras or Darumaka. On the other hand, the Secret of Jungle Special Research task is also live, offering a shiny form of Celebi. During the Secret of Jungle event, the Team Rocket balloon of Jesse and James will appear more frequently.

All the previous events of 2020 were incredible, and probably this will be the final event of the year, so there’s a chance that Niantic will make a surprise announcement for the fans. The December Community Day was a perfect CD for many players who were, but who already registered the CD Pokemon, and they didn’t put much effort on it. However, in a few days, players will catch a new Ice-type Pokemon, a new Ice-type legendary boss, and special Ice-type Pokemon like Cubchoo.

Conclusion

The Pokemon Go trainers are happy with the events. The rewards players earned this year were much bigger than any previous year’s rewards. From Remote Raids to Mega Evolution, Niantic took the game to a new level. They also have some big plans for 2021 that will be live in the first or second week of January.
