Though it seemed that the judges of "America's Got Talent," Simon Cowell included, enjoyed it so much that they could not help but stand up once more when it was announced that the Filipino singer will be moving on to the semifinals.

Pomp earned his spot through the votes of "superfans" -- a new element introduced for this new season, dubbed "America's Got Talent: The Champions." These "superfans" are said to be fans from each of the states of the USA.

Pomoy was the first act confirmed for the semifinals from week 2.

He joins the "golden buzzer" act for the week, dance group Boogie Storm, who put on a Star Wars-themed routine.
The others who made it through were magician Marc Spelmann, who blew the judges' mind with his amazing card trick; and stand-up comedian Ryan Niemiller, who was the judges' pick.
The new season of "America's Got Talent" pits both champions and finalists from all the other "Got Talent" programs around the world.
This included the Philippines, represented this week by Pomoy, who won the second season of "Pilipinas Got Talent" back in 2011.

Pomoy, known for his ability to sing in both tenor and soprano, was praised by the "America's Got Talent" judges for being one of the more "unique" acts they have seen so far in this new season.
