You man. I personally like MUT and franchise mode. I bitch about UT but I'm also part of this problem in regards to franchise mode dying while UT takes off. Me and my 2 best friends went hard on squads last season and won several Super Bowls together. In all honesty, it was a whole lot of fun. Then I sit back and realize between us, all grownup IT professionals with no children, we probably spent north of $1,000 jointly to"enhance" our expertise. I then go and try to play a solo adventure in offline franchise like the old days and find out how fucking terrible and not fun it's become. I guess a part of my disdain for UT is that it didn't need to return to this. I am unhappy and I feel awful that I helped contribute to the passing of this true simulation game we all grew up enjoying. Honest to god pain within my heart and I regret what I've helped contribute to. EA played hard. I really don't regret the awesome times we had but that I feel it ultimately ruined the item.

I played MUT for two years 17-18 and assembled a 99 ovr group both times without spending putting a lot of hours into. Today I'm a parent so that time has cut short and when I buy madden it's solely as me and my brothers all play online along with trash talk each other every weekend and honestly that's why I buy it every year because it keeps us in communicating with each other since we're in various states with families, kids etc. But do not be hard on yourself. MUT Players aren't the reason Franchise has been bare and here's proof: 2K has an UT called myteam which is terribly worst than maddens from the microtransactions section.

You HAVE to spend money to construct an adequate team or perform for waaaay to a lot of hours. And even then it is difficult since their matchmaking will match you up with a high ovr group and you've got a lot of 70s. folks pump thousands into that mode, I understand Myteam players and they pump 4-5k annually into that mode since you can't build a team with no spending.
