I would wait until after release to buy whether it gets to see updated unless the money is no issue

I would wait until after release to buy whether it gets to see updated unless the money is no issue. I will be purchasing the legend variant along with a NBA 2K21 MT Coins Stadia version so that I can roam around the home and playwith. Does not seem like any progress will crossover into various platforms. I'm just a basketball so it is no problem for me personally. The PC version is listed as present gen. Do we think that the PC version will be capable than xsx and ps5?

I've enjoyed almost every match so far

The Legends edition of this past year had a cost of $99 if I recall. Bought it at the recent sales of only $25. Hell NBA 2K games get cheap after a couple of months. I have yet to get the obviously MTX portion of NBA 2K. The MyTeam mode. MyCareer you can get by, by grinding and playing. MyLeague is among my favourite modes and the only reason I buy NBA 2Ks and that is MTX free. I receive the uproar since it does have a massive amount of ads to have people purchase items but it's way too overblown. I'll add though it's reached madden heights of becoming the same thing over and over without a real changes.

I'm also comparable. I purchase Fifa, 2K, and COD. Probably once or twice a complete console production though for Fifa and 2K. Consistently heavily discounted. They're great games for when friends come over and you wish to 1v1 every other. Aside from that I have zero interest in the online section full of MTX. Cod is nice. They have the Gatorade lineup change and anything and that is fine but showing a 30s advertisement like I am watching YouTube or something is stupid.

The thing is...your part was of this small crowd (and me); So much so I stopped purchasing NBA 2Ks if they publish and waited for sales. But the majority of their money comes from the people that do exactly what every they want and buy VC. 2K is the game to check the $70 price tag's theory. I would do it for NBA 2K like God of War, no issue. But not really for games which are going to push micro trades and season pass(es) anyways. It seems a bit money hungry to me. The revolutionary SSD will allow the microtransactions to be processed with your credit card at unprecedented rates.

I don't buy sport games each year, since I do not feel as the graphics/gameplay improved that much that justifies buying the newest one every year. But I love buying a recent one years following the last one I bought. For instance, I had 2K16, also 2K20 (before it being free with ps plus) was at a discount and I gave it a shot. Never was somebody who bothered about the MTX part of NBA 2K. I use to play with sport games together with friends when they encounter. The only thing I tried played Ultimate team. Loved its idea, but I quickly realized that you gotta leave a lot of cash to be helpful inside. Just stick to Buy 2K21 MT the game and you're fine.
