The grounds to which is that Trillanes never admitted to his being guilty of the Oakwood mutiny to expel former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Now at around a few hours after noon, over 40 CIDG officials are waiting outside the Senate building. Are they there to arrest Trillanes?
During the scheduled hearing in the Senate today about the Microbiology Act, Trillanes arrived late and was welcomed by the media asking him about the president’s decision.
He, however, said the decision is stupid and that he won’t resist arrest if ever he gets arrested.
At around 9 am, member of the CIDG arrived at Senate Sergeant at Arms Jose Balajadia‘s office. It sparked the speculations that Trillanes might be getting arrested already.
Senate President Tito Sotto held a closed-door meeting with the CIDG. According to the reports, the CIDG has a warrant of arrest.
However, Senate Majority Leader Migz Zubiri maintained that there will be no arrest within the senate premises.
