Africa was once known as the "Heart of Darkness" in European times. It was a land of death and unknown. It's not. It is too old. It's also very small, at least in comparison with the rest of mainland. Also, it lacks high-quality content.

It is possible to argue that the Legends Quest represented the "heart-of-darkness" feeling that was associated with Africa when it was first introduced. This was because it was the big daddy to all the quests of the time. The Legends Quest has been completed, and Karamja is now a normal player.
