Together with the majority of content that I play in OSRS not existing in RuneScape gold, alot of this content I engage in isn't completly nostalgic. This made me wonder, how many gamers without a nostalgia play Runescape? Do these gamers even exist? In that case, would like to hear your ideas and experiences about Runescape. What pulled you? Thoughts on content? Barriers? Why on earth do you do this to yourself?

Any insight would be G. I only started playing the release of mobile and graduated to runelite. I had never heard of runescape before. For reference I'm 32 so would have been an older teen when rs2 was booming 2005-6 as I know it. The impression I get is that the majority of people here played with it in their childhood preteen years and came back to it.

I seriously just chose to play it because the memes were hot. I keep going because in its simplest I like"haha amounts go vroom", but to expand on that I have finally gotten to a point where I could begin doing some bossing and also finishing goals, and I am really loving that. Got my qpc and now on the mill for diaries. Having these goals keeps me going even if some of the grinds are totally horrible and were probably outdated gameplay even back to rs2 (badly, mage training stadium, what the fuck is the garbage?).

I generally am pleased with updates. Having no nostalgia linked to Runescape and no expertise with the EOC upgrade or eliminating free trade and wildy pking and all the other controversial changes that drove the old players away, I find that many times I'm in debate with a large majority of people here with regards to proposed articles and updates. I am all for new skills and modernizing Runescape, but I know why the folks with nostalgia for it want to keep it"oldschool". Im open minded from RS3 to abilities like dungeoneering and summoning although I never undergone but sound imo that was pretty damn awesome. Which is in opposition to people here who appear to hate them.

As it is Runescape is dull and I feel like you have to be a particular kind of Old School RS Gold person to actually enjoy it. I tell my friends to not try it cause they'll probably hate it. I duntype of a wander, but hey inquire if there. I've gathered that it's not common.
