Hironobu Sakaguchi sells clothes with his signature on MMO. Although series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi hasn’t developed a Final Fantasy game in nearly 20 years, the game developer recently got involved with the MMO Final Fantasy XIV, documenting his adventures on Twitter. Many players also buy Final Fantasy XIV Gil to play the game. In his latest post, Sakaguchi started posting about his clothing brand “sakaGUCCI”, which sells handmade clothing on the in-game market.

While the Final Fantasy MMO doesn’t allow players to custom design outfits, items purchased from other players will keep the creator’s name, meaning any Sakaguchi craft will essentially carry his signature. Because of the developer’s long-term partnership with the series, the “sakaGUCCI” costume has the potential to become an in-game collectible.

Sakaguchi has sold several “collections” with pun-inspired hashtags and posted photos of players hanging out in their matching sakaGUCCI pieces. Sakaguchi’s Lalafell character makes a lot of pieces, he’s shown in a previous tweet as a level 90 weaver, and pricing depends on how difficult the item is to craft and how expensive the material is. Players can buy FFXIV Gil to get some hard-to-obtain raw materials.

In a subsequent tweet, Sakaguchi has asked players not to resell their sakaGUCCI items on the market, asking players to beautify these items so that they cannot be traded. He also tweeted to warn players about something that would remove the “Hironobu Sakaguchi” signature from items. But players can also Buy FFXIV Gil at IGGM to get the items they want.
