The Halloween event is now very close, and Niantic has made a big announcement the previous day. On the social media platform, Niantic confirmed the debut of Galarian Yamask. Lots of trainers were curious to know what Niantic will bring this year, and it is now confirmed. Niantic has made several confirmations about the upcoming Halloween event, but fans are excited about the Galarian Yamask debut. This year for trainers and Niantic was quite different yet entertaining.
In the Pokemon World, a lot of Pokemon events and content available, but along with it, Halloween events also brought a few fresh contents. During the Halloween event, the spawn rate of Ghost-type Pokemon will increase. Along with the Ghost-type Pokemon, there will be a new surprise in the strange egg as well. The current year is about to end, but Niantic is making a weekly count and offering great events with lots of surprises.
Niantic posted a short clip on Instagram where they didn’t fully reveal the Galarian Yamask, but trainers who know the shape and size of Galarian Yamask, they understand it entirely. There was a Pokemon in the dark smoke in the video, and the caption was, “Guess who?” It was like a surprise, but more like the Pokemon universe’s old trivia, “Who’s that Pokemon?” For most of the trainers, it was obvious to understand the Pokemon behind the smoke.
Pokemon Sword and Shield’s players already have normal Yamask and Galarian Yamask, while the Galarian Yamask evolves in Runerigus. Pokemon Go must move to Gen 8 if they want to offer the evolution Galarian Yamask. However, it could create a problem for Pokemon Go because right now, Pokemon Go has only Gen 5 Pokemon. If possible, Niantic can offer different ways to evolve Galarian Yamask. So, if this happens, then players will have to walk on a certain track to get Runerigus from Galarian Yamask.
If Niantic doesn’t want to make things complicated and wants to go through the simple way, then they could simply add the evolution of Galarian Yamask by candies. Collecting candies and evolving the Pokemon is the easiest method in Pokemon Go, and trainers have no complaints. However, Niantic has not mentioned anything about the evolution of Galarian Yamask, and until this new update arrives, trainers can only guess.
Currently, Giratina-Origin form is in the 5-star Raid Battles, but Darkrai would be the next target for the trainers. In the recent update, Niantic also confirmed that Darkrai would appear in 5-star raid battles. Darkrai was the 5-Star Raid boss in the previous year’s Halloween event, but this year, Niantic can improve.
Conclusion
As per Niantic’s confirmation, few Ghost-type Pokemon will appear in their new avatar. From hatching eggs to taking a snapshot, Niantic has surprising things for trainers. However, the Halloween event will be live for a short period of time, so trainers will have to work quickly to catch the new shiny Pokemon, Darkrai, and Galarian Yamask.
