It looks like multiverse is the new trend in storytelling. Both the comic studio giants are banking on a multiverse timeline to shape the narrative of their respective franchises. DC is betting its money on the 2022 film The Flash, for which, as the rumors suggest, they have already signed Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck. The duo will portray Batman in two different universes. On the other hand, Marvel has a full-fledged plan in place, and the comic studio is leaving no stone unturned to make it’s Phase 4 successful. Phase 4 is currently tied with the fate of the upcoming Benedict Cumberbatch starrer “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” Marvel Studios still hasn’t unveiled the film’s full cast, and with new rumors storming the internet every other day, it looks like the comic studio does have something big in store for Doctor Stranger 2.

Even the skeptics now know that anything is possible in Marvel Phase 4.

If nothing else, we can account for Spider-Man 3 and how that film is shaping up. It was obvious that Wanda Maximoff and the series WandaVision do have a significant part in the upcoming Doctor Strange film. Still, little did we know that Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man installment also has a big part to play. Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange have already been signed up for a role in the upcoming film, suggesting that there will be some multiverse play in the film. Spider-Man 3’s release date is also between WandaVision and the 2nd Doctor Strange film, which further clarifies that the third Spider-Man film will act as a bridge between the two highly anticipated projects.

The rumors surrounding Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s inclusion in the third Spider-Man film have refused to leave the internet for quite a while now. In addition to this, a new rumor is now suggesting that Tobey Maguire has also been booked to reprise his role in Doctor Strange 2.  Maguire’s inclusion in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” means that Maguire is here to stay, and the same is true for the multiverse storyline. Given that Sam Raimi is the man helming the second Doctor Strange film, we can very well expect the rumors to be true as Maguire shares an excellent professional relationship with him.

Raimi was the one who had directed all three films of the Spiderman trilogy and had launched Maguire as a raw talent in the world of Hollywood.

It is clear to us now that Marvel is very serious about its Spider-Verse plans.

If all the rumors do indeed end up being correct, then oh boy, oh boy, you are in for an epic fall into the night sky
