Physical Structure

Adidas RPT-01 never looks like other on-ear headphones due to its unique design. Unlike other on-ear headphones that have a metallic or plastic cover, RPT-01 has knitted mesh-like fabric. Underneath this fabric, one can find plastic and metal. Adidas RPT-01 Bluetooth headphones are very light and weigh 215 grams. These Bluetooth headphones have an IPX4 IP Rating. Hence, it can resist protection from splashing water irrespective of the direction. One can consider this reason that it will help to take care of the sweat during the work-outs. The dimension of Adidas’ RPT-01 Bluetooth headphone is 19 cm x 14 cm x 7 cm. These headphones are available in three color variants – signal coral, black, and light-grey. The best thing about the RPT-01 Bluetooth headphones are the earcups. Earcups of the Adidas’ wireless headsets are washable and changeable.

Buttons

There are many buttons given on both sides of the headset. A user can find a multi-directional knob on the right side near the ear cup that controls power, volume control, playback, and pairing. When a user moves the knob left or right, they skip or rewind the tracks. Moving this knob up or down adjusts the volume. The right ear’s panel knob also helps to answer or end the call. The left ear cup has a similar kind of inventive control that triggers some action when pressed. By default, a single press of this activates Google Assistant or Siri. But a user can use the Adidas Headphones app to change the default actions like picking out a specific album from any online music apps.

Battery

The battery life of Adidas RPT-01 on-ear headphones is 40 hours, depending on the volume level. It is not merely a promise, and users can provide their real verdict once they see the reality. Hence, such a battery life ensures that the work-outs need no tension about the battery’s current status. USB Type-C charging cable (With up to 100 watts, or three amps of power) lets the headphone take less time for charging. Because there is no orientation of this charging cable, one can connect the headphones regardless of the cable charging notch position. A long USB-C to USB-A cable connects with the USB-C port of the headphone present on the right headset’s bottom side near the ear cup for charging.

Sound Quality

Adidas RPT-01 on-ear headphones are louder and have heavy bass. But, these headphones do lack a certain depth when the sound reaches mids and trebles. Also, the sub-bass starts teetering on the edge of distortion. Hence, it is clear that these headphones have optimum fidelity and are good to listen to high-energetic rock music. The Adidas headphone app would help users set the equalizers, tone, and choose a preset depending on the user’s notion and current mood. There lies one more issue with Adidas headphones- they do not support AAC or AptX.

One can buy the Adidas headphones at $169 from the Adidas’ website. These headphones even have better IP ratings.
