In March, Marvel comic writers Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Salvador Larroca will reveal the first issue of the brand new series titled “Alien #1.”

In the early part of this year, Marvel Comics had made a public announcement that the brand new “Alien” series featuring an eerie world of aliens would be launched by the comic studio in 2021.

Marvel has announced that the first issue of the series “Alien #1” will take the readers to some spooky parts of the Alien universe. The issue will be released in March of next year.

The comic has been written by Philip Kennedy Johnson, with Salvador Larroca providing the artwork. Marvel’s comic adaptation will be a stellar addition to the legacy established by the 1979 film, which starred Avatar and The Defenders actress Sigourney Weaver in the leading role.

Aliens will feature characters from the classic film and some from the imagination of Philip Kennedy Johnson, and the comic series is expected to entertain some old fans of the film franchise, all the Marvel fans, and some of the uninitiated curious minds as well.

The first issue of the new series will explore the character Gabriel Cruz, who is a Weyland-Yutani hitman, as he will fight the new breed of the alien species known as xenomorph with his child battling for his life. Philip Kennedy Johnson is not an amateur when it comes to bending the worlds of Marvel storytelling and horror genre as he has recently garnered applause for his stellar work in the series “Marvel Zombies: Resurrection.”

The comic writer recently spoke in an interview that he was happy that his beloved film franchise was coming to Marvel, but when he was offered a chance to write the series itself, he was over the moon. Johnson felt that he had been preparing his entire life for this particular opportunity. He admitted that ever since he got an opportunity as a kid to watch the creation of Blade Runner director Ridley Scott, he has been obsessed with the xenomorph, which he regards as the best manifestation of onscreen horror.

Salvador Larroca also made a statement about the upcoming comic issue and said that he is very grateful for having vested upon this great opportunity to draw out Marvel’s vision of the “Alien” world.

Larroca also admitted that he has always been a fan of the film series created by Ridley Scott, and never in his wildest of dreams had he ever imagined that he would get to draw the world professionally. He remarked that “Alien” is a widely recognized pop-culture reference that enthralls fans to this day, and now when he would sit down to draw the same world in the comic adaptation, he would feel immense pride for himself.

He reckons that Johnson’s story is incredible, and he anticipates that the fans would like the comic as much as he has whilst working on it.

“Alien” franchise holds the pedigree of including one of the earlier works of veteran directors like Ridley Scott, James Cameron, and David Fincher.
