"While many will wish Mr. Trillanes good riddance as he is about to leave the hallowed halls of the Senate at the end of June of this year, we will instead wish him luck as he faces another prospect of being placed behind bars again as the self-confessed black propagandist turns against his master," Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement Friday. Trillanes' term as senator ends on June 30.

Panelo said Trillanes, a staunch Duterte critic, should finally stop his "false, malicious, and seditious" accusations against the President, and instead address allegations he is leading a conspiracy to overthrow the government.

Trillanes and other opposition members have denied plotting Duterte's ouster, and are considering filing charges against Advincula.

The flip-flopping Advincula earlier said he was not tapped by any political party, but Liberal Party President Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan believes he could have been threatened by the Duterte administration to put the blame on the opposition.

Duterte: Trillanes is a shame

In a speech during the thanksgiving party of Senator-elect Bong Go Thursday night, Duterte gave credence to Advincula's statements and once again criticized Trillanes.

"O ngayon nag-surface na si Bikoy (Now Bikoy has surfaced). Trillanes is one guy who's a shame," Duterte said.

He added that Trillanes, in his 12 years as senator, was a disgrace for the legislative, and stressed that his questionable properties would soon be revealed.

"Binaboy mo ang Senado. And you used that power to run after people. ... Di alam ng mga sundalo, hindi nila alam na karami mong kotse tapos karami mong properties na nakalista sa ibang tao," Duterte said. "Lalabas rin 'yan."

Trillanes in a tweet on Friday belittled Duterte's latest accusations. "This time si Bikoy naman ang source mo. Henyo ka talaga, Duts (This time, Bikoy is your source. You are truly a genius, Duts)."
