Bob Marley (1945-1981) was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, and musician who became an international icon of reggae music and one of the most influential figures in popular culture. Born in Nine Mile, Jamaica, Marley began his musical career in the late 1960s with the Wailers, a group he formed with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. They achieved widespread success with hits such as "No Woman, No Cry," "Stir It Up," and "Get Up, Stand Up."
Marley's music often carried messages of peace, love, and social justice, reflecting his Rastafarian beliefs. He played a significant role in popularizing reggae music worldwide and became known for his distinctive vocal style and powerful lyrics.
