The long-awaited feature of Pokemon Go has finally arrived. Pokemon Go trainers can now transfer their Pokemon to Pokemon Home. There’s a limit for transferring Pokemon, and players have to follow it. Niantic announced the news regarding Pokemon Home and the transferring feature on social media and from the in-game news feature.

Even before the update, the Pokemon transfer feature was only available for a certain Pokemon. Before the new update, only Gen 1 Pokemon could be transferred, which only included Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. However, now trainers have full authority to transfer any type of Pokemon, but the process will be one-sided. Trainers can only transfer their Pokemon Go Pokemon in Pokemon Home. The great thing about this new update is that trainers can also send their Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield from Pokemon Home.

In terms of connectivity and transferring system, the new update also brought the Mystery Box that offers free Meltan Pokemon. Now trainers can get Melmetal by transferring any Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home.

How to Transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home

To transfer the Pokemon, players simply need to install the Pokemon Home application on their mobile.

After download and installing the Pokemon Home application, players have to link their game with their Nintendo account. Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Pokemon Go and Pokemon Home app. To link the account, you simply need to follow these steps:

  • Open Pokemon Go.
  • Click on Settings.
  • Scroll Down and click “Pokemon Home.”
  • Link with the Nintendo account by pressing on “Sign In.”

Once your Pokemon Go successfully links with Nintendo Account, you simply need to press the “Send Pokemon” icon. The feature allows you to send any Pokemon through Go Transporter. Sending Pokemon consumes energy, but every Pokemon consumes a different amount of energy. The great thing about Go Transporter is that it automatically regenerates its energy, but if you consume its complete energy, it takes a whole week. Shiny Pokemon and Legendary shiny Pokemon consume the highest energy amount, so make sure to select only necessary Pokemon.

You can select multiple Pokemon simultaneously, but if you are only looking for Mystery Box, then transferring a single Pokemon can also help you out.

Conclusion

Trainers are thankful to Niantic for launching this amazing feature. However, this isn’t the only incredible feature that has arrived this week. Now trainers on level 38 also nominate the Pokestops. Before, the requirement for nominating the Pokestops was level 40, and level 38 trainers were only allowed to review the nominations.
